The Society for the Preservation of the Golden Era is a member based, non-profit, organization that strives to remember the dress, manners, music and lifestyles of the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s though regular dances, dinners, individual chapter meetings and other events. The AZSA has a chapter on their forum.

The Fedora Lounge discusses the clothing and style of the era.

ColtForum.com is a discussion board for Colt firearms enthusiasts.

The Fedora Chronicles discusses clothing related to the Zoot Shooters.

Old School Guns is a blog by AZSA member “The Enforcer”. He discusses classic firearms.

Surplus Rifle Forum is dedicated to collecting and shooting military surplus rifles. They are a friendly group and a nice place to visit if you like vintage firearms.


Other Action Shooting Sports (because we ALL need to stick together!)

USPSA: United States Practical Shooting Association’s mission is to promote safe, fair and fun participation in Practical Shooting competition, for members of all ages and skill levels, through effective leadership, education, communication and administration.

IPSC: International Practical Shooting Confederation promotes, improves and advances the sport of IPSC shooting worldwide and to cultivate the safe, recreational use of firearms by persons of good character.

SASS: Single Action Shooting Society is an international organization created to preserve and promote the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting.

IDPA: International Defensive Pistol Association is the governing body of a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and real life encounters.

GAF: The goal and mission of the Grand Army of the Frontier is to honor the memories and achievements of the late Victorian-era military of all nations between 1858 and 1904, with a particular emphasis on American army on the Western Frontier between 1860 and 1900, though the pursuit and sharing of knowledge, and by actively participating in the hobbies of Cowboy Action Shooting, historical reenacting, living history programs, skirmishing, social events, and other activities while wearing appropriate military attire.
