The AZSA World Championship is September 11, 2011 at the Colorado Rifle Club. We are considering making this a one or two day match. What would you like to see? Is it easier to get it all over in one day or would you like to see it spread over two? A main match one day and a side match another? What would get you to travel to Colorado to shoot this match?

August 29th, 2009 will be what the AZSA is calling its first “National Championship” match. The match will be held at the Clear Creek County Sportsman’s club in Dumont, CO. Start time is 10AM. There will be six Capers and the match fee is only $50! Random prize drawings will be donated by Auto-Ordnance (who will be attending and represented by Jodi DePorter), Sabre Defence and Tuffy Security Products. Match winners will receive cash prizes determined by the number of paid entries (hint: invite your friends so you may win more money).

Zoot Shooters first “official” match was May 30th, 2009 at Clear Creek County Sportsman’s Club in Dumont, CO. We had four Capers with ten new, realistically painted walls. We only had five shooters from the original “Seven” show but we had six new shooters in our match. Despite the rain, we all had a great day! We also had two excellent photographers document the occasion, Hugh Tyner of Tyner Photography and Paul Hyland with a keen remote control camera.

On October 16th, 2008 American Zoot Shooters Association (AZSA) held its first match. Henning “The Undertaker” Wallgren and I, Jason “The Hustler” Huss, AZSA’s founders, convinced five of our friends to go up to Clear Creek County Sportsman’s Club in Dumont, CO. The day was perfect! There was a little snow on the ground but it was a bright and beautiful Thursday afternoon in the Rockies.
